Gerald “Andy” Morris

Many people don’t realize that Andrew Morris’ background is nontraditional for a superintendent. His experience as Corporate Executive Chef at Sea World/Busch Entertainment Corporation gave him a better understanding of the food and beverage side, but also indoctrinated him in management cultures that emphasized teamwork. Since starting at the Country Club of Peoria in 2003, his focus has been getting everyone on the team.

Andy was designated 2010 Country Club of Peoria Employee of the Year for his extraordinary efforts and outstanding performance. Andy was a keynote speaker at the 2007 GCSAA National Conference in Anaheim, CA for his team management and character philosophy. As a graduate of Michigan State University’s Turfgrass and Soil Science program, Andy has since been awarded numerous honors. Andy supports numerous internship programs for Turfgrass and Social Management students, and is a member of the following organizations:
